Main Purpose of the role

As Quality Technician, you will support all NPD activities to agree process, standard to meet ISO / compliance requirements, Inspect incoming materials to ensure they comply to Ishida or/and customer specification, audit manufacturing processes when machines are in build, deal with issues and concerns and supporting manufacturing, deal with any day-to-day issues that arise to establish issue ownership, raise NCR and manage them for corrective action, inspect/ Sign-off machines to ensure they are built to specification before shipment, deal with all the customer complaint allocated for root cause and corrective action and drive and support improvement activities across the business.

 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Understand key safety requirement of the machines including operation.
  • Follow and promote QEH&S requirement to meet compliance and ISO requirements.
  • Inspect and approve incoming materials by confirming they comply to specification (visual, dimensional, and functional).
  • Support assembly to ensure build is continue by identifying constraints and issues with regards to suspect parts / engineering / suppliers
  • Must be able to distinguish between good and bad parts and follow Product Improvement Notice by rejecting and returning unacceptable materials.
  • Raise PINs / NCRS and co-ordinate with procurement team and suppliers for issue resolution.
  • Inspect in-process production sub-assemblies to ensure they are conforming to specification and that build manuals / route cards are fully completed as and when process is completed.
  • Create inspection checklists for the machines to ensure customer expectations are met to protect premium quality brand.
  • Work independently to compressed deadlines and without giving in to pressure to ensure you put quality first.
  • Be able to create inspection reports and for root cause investigation through 5 why or 8D, minimum CCAR (corrective and countermeasure action report).
  • Ensure all machines are checked and fed back to assembly and other responsible departments.
  • Keep track of rejected parts and machines to ensure containment is progressing to support delivery commitments without compromising quality.
  • Keep measurement equipment operating by following operating instructions and calibration requirements and calling for repairs.
  • Maintain safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations.
  • Update job knowledge by participating in assembly operations and self-learning where possible with the help of Quality, Assembly and Service team.
  • Accomplishes quality and organisation mission by completing related results as needed by Quality department.

 

What skills are we looking for?

The successful candidate must have worked in a similar role and have experience and a background in quality, have excellent knowledge of MS Office and able to read engineering drawings and worked in a manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate must be able to work on own initiative as per tight deadlines, be a quick a learner and have a positive mindset.
