What is the purpose of the role?
To provide support to the Netherlands Office.
Primary responsibilities
- Processing, tracking and paying local supplier invoices. Liaising with suppliers as needed.
- Bookkeeping preparation to support external accounting partners and UK Finance.
- Preparing monthly cash flow forecast.
- Monitoring bank balance to ensure there are sufficient funds to pay all obligations on time.
- Processing payments through bank and liaising with head office for payment authorisation.
- Ensuring all purchases have been appropriately approved.
- Managing all employee expenses including monthly calculations.
- Providing payroll information to external payroll partners.
- Managing local car fleet and company mobile phones.
- Maintaining petty cash.
- Cooperation with UK HR team.
- Ensuring office has all supplies and facilities to operate effectively day to day.
- Answering phones and directing queries as necessary.
- General office organisation and admin.
- Other Ad hoc procedures as required.
- Adhere to and enforce company procedures.
- Apply discretion when dealing with confidential matters such as salary.
What skills are we looking for?
You will have excellent communication and organisation skills, work well in a team and on an individual basis, IT literate, ability to prioritise work and work consistently well under pressure.
You should have previous experience in an office environment, a basic understanding of bookkeeping and accounting, understating of Microsoft packages and strong written and spoken English/Dutch.
