What is the purpose of the role?

To provide support to the Netherlands Office.

Primary responsibilities

  1. Processing, tracking and paying local supplier invoices. Liaising with suppliers as needed.
  2. Bookkeeping preparation to support external accounting partners and UK Finance.
  3. Preparing monthly cash flow forecast.
  4. Monitoring bank balance to ensure there are sufficient funds to pay all obligations on time.
  5. Processing payments through bank and liaising with head office for payment authorisation.
  6. Ensuring all purchases have been appropriately approved.
  7. Managing all employee expenses including monthly calculations.
  8. Providing payroll information to external payroll partners.
  9. Managing local car fleet and company mobile phones.
  10. Maintaining petty cash.
  11. Cooperation with UK HR team.
  12. Ensuring office has all supplies and facilities to operate effectively day to day.
  13. Answering phones and directing queries as necessary.
  14. General office organisation and admin.
  15. Other Ad hoc procedures as required.
  16. Adhere to and enforce company procedures.
  17. Apply discretion when dealing with confidential matters such as salary.

What skills are we looking for?

You will have excellent communication and organisation skills, work well in a team and on an individual basis, IT literate, ability to prioritise work and work consistently well under pressure.

You should have previous experience in an office environment, a basic understanding of bookkeeping and accounting, understating of Microsoft packages and strong written and spoken English/Dutch.
