Main Purpose of the role

The Testing Engineer executes the end-to end testing process of customer product samples and the contaminant detection capability, related to prospective Ishida X-ray Sales Opportunities and ad-hoc ongoing customer engagements. Through a focused, accurate and professional execution of the testing process, customers acquire a differentiating understanding of the possible value of Ishida technology. The quality of the testing cycle is an enabler to achieve growth in sales, increased market share and outstanding customer happiness.

Primary responsibilities

• To execute the end-to-end process of Prague facility X-ray Testing:
  1. Intake, registration and qualification process
  2. Preparation and planning of test
  3. Reception and inventorying of samples
  4. Execution of the test
  5. Documentation of the test
  6. Post-test follow up with internal sales, Ishida channel partners or customers.
• Communication throughout to the different stakeholders. Some testing can be performed with attendance of the customer.

• Get involved in planning of trials and keep in the harmony with other activities happening on the site.
• Conduct tests: machine set up & problem solving setting calibration to solve challenges.
• Documentation for internal purposes, Customer reports incl. product and X-ray images.
• Support the tracking, reception, transportation and disposal processes of the samples.
• Cooperate with colleagues, specifically with the X-Ray subject matter experts and with the testing function in different locations.
• Keep testing machines in good condition, report any defects.
• Support other activities in Ishida company multipurpose facility such as repair centre and PDI area activities

What skills are we looking for?

To be successful you must have technical knowledge of electrics or mechanics, advanced communication and planning skills, structured approach to problems and tasks, good understanding of IT infrastructure & literacy, customer oriented: it starts from understanding the customer challenge, high attention to details & good analytical skills, have a good understanding of process driven testing, problem solving & reporting and must be fluent in English (both written and spoken).

The ideal candidate must be a self-motivated, organised, proactive, accuracy, detail orientate, must have a can-do attitude and willingness to learn.
