Main Purpose of the role
To maintain high levels of performance, security and reliability for the company’s business systems.
Work with Infrastructure Lead to share the increasing workload and play a key role in the existing, planned and future infrastructure of the business.
To be responsible for carrying out administrative tasks relating to the installation and management of the infrastructure systems in all Ishida Europe offices, as well as providing second-line support escalation services to the First-Line Support team and getting involved in key projects.
Primary Responsibilities
- To understand, scope, document and develop improvements to the infrastructure and constantly improve the service provided to internal and external customers
- Be able to fully document the infrastructure systems as they change and ensure that these documents are issued to the rest of the team as required
- Support and understand the requirements of all Ishida Europe offices across the EMEA region, including visits to the offices to install and support the infrastructure
- Be accountable for the delivery, installation, training and ongoing support of all individual projects delivered into the business and ensure that all are carried out to a high level of competence and meet agreed completion dates
- Provide own input, knowledge and expertise to the projects to maximise the results
- Undertake new and additional IT projects and the responsibilities to meet future business needs as and when identified
- Take responsibility and ownership for infrastructure tasks identified in other projects
- Provide input and guidance for the projects to ensure infrastructure elements are considered appropriately
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues escalated by the IT Support Administrators
- Provide guidance and feedback for issues where knowledge can be shared to speed up resolution in the future
- Escalate issues to external support contacts where required
- Complete all administration tasks to the Company required standards and within agreed timescales
- Undertake required training in any format to improve knowledge and skills in line with the requirements of the role
- Work towards building skill levels in the desirable skills list
- Undertake investigations and research to improve your knowledge in any relevant new technologies or projects the business requires.
What skills are we looking for?
To be successful in this role you must have experience in Veeam Backup, Office 365 / Exchange Online, Mobile phone Administration, VoIP telephony (Zoom), Microsoft active directory, Fortinet Products and must have VMware Certification and Microsoft Certification.
The ideal candidate must have the ability to complete and implement deadline dates, the ability to organise and prioritise tasks, an Imaginative and creative approach to resolving issues, be self-motivated and able to work unsupervised and have strong communication skills verbally and written at all levels of technical and organisational seniority.
