What is the purpose of the role?

The main purpose of the role is to assess, repair, and test subassemblies and components from multi-head weighers and checkweighers and ensuring they meet quality and performance standards.

Primary responsibilities

• Test and repair, where possible, units returned by both internal and external customers.
• Ensure assessments, testing, and repairs are carried out with a high level of competency, meeting agreed timelines and service levels.
• Maintain consistently high service standards.
• Build and test equipment as required.
• Adhere to all deadlines and targets.
• Accurately complete reports and maintain records for each job.
• Continuously update and maintain product knowledge.
• Ensure a clean and organised work environment.
• Report any Health & Safety issues or near misses.
• Support other activities within Ishida’s multipurpose facility such as X-Ray testing centre and PDI area.

What skills are we looking for?

The successful candidate must have strong mechanical troubleshooting skills, with the ability to dismantle units, identify issues, and assess worn parts. A problem-solving mindset and a logical approach to troubleshooting are essential, along with excellent organisational skills and a clean, methodical working approach.

The ideal candidate will have electrical knowledge and experience, including the ability to read electrical drawings, will be proactive, able to meet deadlines, and self-motivated with a strong drive to deliver results.
